Amir, a highly skilled dentist with over 20 years of experience, sets exceptional standards in dental care. His expertise spans a wide range, including: general dentistry implants full-mouth rehabilitation smile makeovers restorative dentistry. Renowned for his gentle, relaxed, and informal approach, Amir ensures that every patient receives consistent and excellent care. In the realm of his artistry and craftsmanship, he is recognized for creating bespoke, facially driven smiles, bringing your best possible smile to life.

His love and dedication to patients, coupled with a passion for dentistry, motivate him to stay abreast of the latest advancements by regularly engaging with postgraduate dental trainings and adopting new technical methods. Outside dentistry, Amir has a passion for travelling and exploring the world. He also enjoys following the buzz of Premier League.

Rebecca qualified from Kings College London Dental Institute in 2013 having previously gained a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences. After completing her Vocational training in Horsham, West Sussex, she undertook a Postgraduate diploma in Primary Dental Care.

Rebecca's areas of interest are Periodontology and Restorative Dentistry. She has a keen interest in working with anxious patients; taking great pride in building rapport and breaking down barriers to dental care. Rebecca also has experience in providing domiciliary care to patients otherwise unable to access dental treatment.

In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys spending time with family and friends. Having recently become a mother for the first time, she currently spends a lot of her free time at baby classes and soft play! She also enjoys long walks with her dog Ralphie.

I enjoy providing my patients with all aspects of dental treatment, and I particularly like placing tooth-coloured fillings and helping patients to feel confident when smiling. I believe that each patient should be treated as an individual, and I enjoy spending time with each patient establishing the best treatment for them. I have a caring and gentle approach to dentistry and like to treat patients of all ages, with the aim to make a trip to the dentist a pleasant and comfortable experience.

Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon MBBS BDS FRCS (OMFS)

James is a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon dual qualified in both medicine and dentistry.

Graduating from Nottingham Medical School in 2003, he was awarded the Charnwood research prize for his intercalated B.Medsci degree for which he received first class honours. He undertook his post graduate surgical training in Bristol where, having been inspired to specialise in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, he also completed his BDS dental degree.

His specialist Oral and Maxillofacial training was in the South East of England including rotations at renowned units such as Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead and the Royal Surrey Hospital, Guildford. On completion of his specialist training in 2017, James undertook a further highly regarded international fellowship focused on orthognathic (corrective jaw surgery), reconstruction of traumatic facial injury and dental implant surgery at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Australia.

James is a consultant at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford with additional sessions at North Hampshire NHS Foundation Trust and Haslemere Hospital. Practicing privileges are held at both Nuffield Health Guildford and Mount Alvernia Hospitals. He is actively involved in training junior surgeons, is departmental clinical governance lead and is a core member of the regional specialist skin cancer multidisciplinary team.

Josie joined the team in October 2014 and has thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the patients here over the years Dental Hygiene is now Josie main focus and passion. She enjoys educating patient around the role that dental hygiene plays in general health in managing and preventing oral disease as well as reducing risk factors in many other health complaints such as heart disease and diabetes.

Josie enjoys the interaction with patients and most importantly putting them at ease and making treatment comfortable. Adapting to individual patient needs is a skill we apply to our work here at Haslemere Dental & Implant Clinic. Josie love the team work at the clinic and enjoys the being able to offer help and advice in a friendly and calming atmosphere.

Outside of dentistry she enjoys being creative with painting and cooking. Josie tries to keep active with running and home workouts especially after a day in clinic to stretch out.

“I feel proud and honoured to work with such caring, knowledgeable and skilled individuals. What attracted me to this particular practice was the outstanding patient-centred care. New patients receive a thorough and personal consultation, where time is spent discussing what the patient wants as well as their needs.”

Before committing to a career in dentistry, Verity was a qualified primary school teacher, so she has a particular interest in paediatric dentistry. For children, she believes prevention of oral disease is key - and therefore enjoys working with parents to instil good habits at an early age to ensure that they give themselves the best chance of leading a happy and healthy life.

Her spare time is taken up by trying to train her adolescent puppy - which she loves nonetheless! She enjoys cooking and trying different foods. Verity has adopted teachings of the Dalai Lama and where possible, tries to visit somewhere she hasn’t been before each year. “To my patients – I hope you are all well, and I look forward to continuing our journey very soon. To any new patients – I very much look forward to meeting you.”

Bea, originally from Poland, entered dentistry as a dental nurse and worked at Guy’s Hospital in periodontology (gum disease) department. She also holds a Certificate in Oral Health Education.

Since graduating in July 2020 from the University of Portsmouth with a first-class as a dental therapist, she has been working in the private sector across Hampshire and Surrey.

Bea has an interest in gum disease on and enjoys providing tailored care to patients with an emphasis on prevention. She works well with nervous patients and does her best to make her patients feel comfortable due to her calm and friendly nature.

She is passionate about her profession and regularly attends courses and conferences to keep her knowledge up to date.

Outside work, Bea enjoys visiting exhibitions and galleries, live music and is keen on general wellness including fitness, nutrition, and mental health.

Ellie is one of qualified dental nurse’s and has recently been appointed our new Lead Dental Nurse. Ellie is looking forward to furthering her dental career as she has already completed her impression course and will soon be starting her radiography course.

During her working week Ellie works alongside many clinicians including Dr James Sloane our Oral Maxillofacial surgeon. Ellie thoroughly enjoys working at Haslemere, as we are a fantastic team and have lovely patients. In her spare time Ellie enjoys cooking, going for walks and spending time at home with her partner, Ryan and their two cocker spaniel Bonnie and Lando.

Claire has been part of our team at Haslemere for 18 years, working many of them as a dental nurse before moving into Treatment co-ordination, and presently as our Front Desk co-ordinator. Claire loves this role as she enjoys meeting and helping people. Having a clinical background enables Claire to give our patients a high level of care and advice.

In her spare time Claire enjoys nice country walks and spending time with her family and friends.

Kealey Smith

Dental Nurse

Kealey joined the practice in November 2020 as a Trainee Dental Nurse and qualified in 2023. Kealey is looking forward to progress by taking extra courses in X-rays and impressions. Kealey works alongside multiple clinicians and enjoys nursing for cosmetic dentistry.

In her spare time, Kealey enjoys shopping, spending time with her friends, family and partner and also has a keen interest in makeup and beauty outside of work.

Charlotte Blatcher

Dental nurse

Charlotte qualified as a dental nurse in 2019 and went into locum dental nursing gaining experience in all aspects of dentistry, including NHS hospitals in the orthodontic units, as well as working for Her Majesty's Prison service. Haslemere Dental & Implant Clinic was always her favourite practice to locum at so Charlotte joined the practice full time in July 2021. Charlotte has already completed further training in facial aesthetics but would also like to do further training in radiography and impression taking. In her spare time Charlotte is focusing on training her horse Marley up the levels in British Dressage. Whom she has owned for the past 11 years.

Lesley Francis

Lesley joined the practice in November 2021. She brings with her over 18 years' experience within dentistry, both reception and dental nursing. She particularly enjoys being on reception as she loves the interaction with patients both in person and on the phone. She is looking forward to meeting and getting to know both old and new patients at Haslemere.

In her own time Lesley is an active member of her local church, loves to travel and enjoys spending time with her friends and ever expanding family.
