Usually when you go to the dentist they take x-rays to look for cavities and other problems between your teeth. Necessary, but not exactly exciting. You get little black and white films that are hard to look at.
Here at Haslemere Dental Centre we use digital radiographs. This works just like a digital camera, digital X-ray sensors are used instead of traditional photographic film. When the x-ray is taken, the image appears instantly on the monitor. Instead of it being small and difficult to see we can adjust it to the size of the monitor. A huge benefit of using this kind of X-ray is that it is quicker, reducing the amount of time needed for the appointment. It also uses 50-90% less radiation. This makes it easier to spot issues earlier on, allowing us to best help look after you.
